Start Saving!

I just want to say how fun it was to go on the cruise with Steve, Heidi, Ridge and Marjean. I think we should all start saving our pennies and go on a family cruise! Can we do it in 2 years? Or 4? What do you think?

Ridge is 7 months old!

What a cutie! I love the picture where he is looking out the window. He's like his Mom and Dad, he wants to be outside! (Playing with the llamas?!)

 

A day in the life...

The tub in the main bathroom was really slick all the time because it drained really slow and the soap scum just sat there. (Don't judge me!! How often do you clean your tub?!)

Anyway, repeated "askings" didn't help, so I put up little clues to remind Reed of the job that needed to be done. The first 3 three pics are what I did.

 

I came home from work to discover the duck over the sink with the note that says: "Here lies Reed, hurking from all the crud he had to pull out of the drain."

I laughed out loud! I hope you do to.

Why I love my Dad (for his birthday)

1.  I love your outlook on life.  You are always ready to laugh, and you don't let the situation get you down. 

 

2.  I love that you love your grandkids.  There is nothing as sweet as watching you hold your brand new grandbaby.

 

3.  I love the way you treat Mom.  You and mom have been a great example to me, and I hope that Peter and I can have what you have.

 

4.  I love how excited you get for projects.  Peter and I still laugh over the instructions that you sent us to fix the bookcase. 

 

5.  I love that you are willing to visit us.  It is so much fun to have you come and stay for awhile, and I am so grateful that you are willing to come.

 

6.  I love that you are always willing to help.  Whenever we need an answer I think of you first.  You have given some great advice, and we appreciate it so much!

 

7.  I love that you can laugh at yourself.  It helps me to try and do it myself.  Where would we be if we couldn't laugh at ourselves?

 

8.  I love that you are my dad.  I feel so blessed to have been able to grow up under your care and guidance.   You have helped shape me into the person that I am today, and I will always be grateful for that.  I hope that you have a wonderful birthday!  I love you!
