Sister Mehr

We got this in an email from the Mission President's wife today.  It is really special to us and I just want to remember it.  It has been a privilege to work with these fine people.  Now I know why we were sent here.  We are feeling blessed.

Dear Sister Turner.

I’m sorry to be so slow responding! Your letter brings so many emotions for us as well. We feel incredibly privileged to work with couples who dedicate their lives to the service of their Savior and who are such examples. We feel strongly that you were hand-picked to be in the West Indies at this time, with your unique set of talents, gifts and experiences, which have blessed the mission and members in significant ways. We have depended on you in Martinique, in St. Lucia, and now in Barbados—and each time, you have been specifically prepared for the tasks at hand. I love seeing how the Lord sets things all in motion.

You two are incredible. We are so grateful for you. Thank you for the huge service you have been, from support to training to cheerleading and doctoring and chauffeuring and office-ing and real-estate-ing and banking and negotiating, etc etc etc. You have been indispensable. I know the missionaries love you both deeply.

We love you both, and look forward to catching up at the next reunion. We promise, there will be one in spring time too : )

Love you,
Sister Mehr
