Where oh where have my little kids gone...

I have been working on printing out my digital pictures. It is making me homesick for my babies. Here are a few pictures of your babies that I have been looking at lately. Love ya.

Delta Dawn, what's that flower you have on...

We went to a concert last night! It was Tanya Tucker. When she was about 12 she sang the delta dawn song. We actually saw her at the Rock Island County Fair in about 1974. She looked a lot better then. She can still belt it out tho! I guess ticket sales weren't too good so someone gave Tim Tollestrup 6 tickets and they invited us to go along. We had a good time. ..."could it be a faded rose from times gone by..."

She's nuts!!!

It went from holding hands on Friday to kissing on Wednesday to "I think I love you" on Thursday to "I'm so mad at you I can't talk to you" on Saturday to "Lets go meet my cousins" on Sunday to "I just don't think we should be dating right now, but this is really hard for me cause I don't want to do it but can we still be friends" on the drive home from meeting her cousins. Thats a pretty darn good run on sentence!!

Before I die....

Do ya'll remember the yellow house on the south end of main street that has been boarded up ever since we moved here? Well, recently, the house was taken down and a new house is being built. I found out the other day who is building it. It is Dean Heggie and his wife...he is 91! Not only is he 91 but he just put in "extended care" in the hospital! I thought this was astounding. Why would anyone want to build a house at 91? (Besides having extreme optomism!) Well, it seems that they always wanted to build on that site so they thought they'd better get to it.

It made me think about what I want to do before I die. Here are a few things:
  • go to Austrailia
  • go to Jerusalem
  • go to Hawaii
  • finish #4
  • finish #5
  • see 12 grandchildren
  • travel to an unknown area (such as a mission)
  • and oh, yes...build a new house!

This is just a partial list and one that I plan on thinking about for a while and making plans to accomplish. What do you want to do before you die?

Love, Steveo

Hey ma and pa. I just wanted to shwo you real quick that we can write on your blog if you invite us to. How's life for ya'll. I havn't had much for stories that I can share with ya'll lately. And no baby pictures yet, either. I'll see if I can round some up from a parenting magazine or something. That probably make my blog a little more exciting. Anywho, love ya!

So I am sitting in my office yesterday just typing away when a whole class of 20 troops out of the east classroom and by my window. Bro. Bikman poked his head in my office and said, "One of the light fixtures just blew out and now there is the smell of burning wire. There may be a fire in the ceiling, so we are moving next door." Well! That got my attention! I went in the room and sure enough, the smell was bad! What did I do? I called the FM group. Then I tried to think about what things I could and should get out of the building if I had to. (CPU, back up disk, monitor... I figured the copy machine was too heavy.) Even then, I didn't call the fire dept. I guess it was ok tho, because apparantly it was just a ballast in the light fixture. An electrician came and it was fixed in a jiff. The smell lingered but it was better than other smells I have smelled even as recently as the weekend! It sure kept me awake the rest of the afternoon!

The Long and Short of it

So ya'll know my beef about Steve's short tie. Well, we came up with a solution. If you wear the tie short, you need to bring the pants UP to meet the tie! Looks great! Also, if you can see in the church news the picture of the oldest EQ Pres in the church (102) has a tie that goes to his knees. Perfect!

Here is the gang. We had so much fun with them. Please come again--all of you!

PS We are TnT for Turner and Turner--Reed didn't like the Gremma and Grumpa thing. Love ya.

The Eyes Have It!

My eyes are GREEN (and brown)! I didn't know that your father was color blind. Here is proof.
